General Questions:

How do I get support for problems with PhotoRecord 2.0?
For detailed information on how to use PhotoRecord 2.0, please refer to the PhotoRecord 2.0 Online Help.
For a visual introduction to PhotoRecord 2.0, please run the Online Tutorial (accessed from the PhotoRecord Help menu).

When I open PhotoRecord 2.0, which album type is created as the default?
The very first time you open PhotoRecord 2.0 the system automatically creates a Booklet album. Subsequently, the system remembers the last album type you saved and uses this as the default.

How can I find out the name of an image file in a PhotoRecord 2.0 album?
Double-click on a photo to open it in the Photo Viewer window. You should be able to see the saved folder for the photo in the title bar, along with its file name.

You can also right-click on the photo and choose External Photo Editor.... This launches your external photo-editor software (such as Adobe PhotoShop). You should be able to see the name of the file in the title bar of the image displayed.

How do I make my photos as large as possible on the page?
Use one or more of the following options:
In the Select Printer & Album Type task, select Others > One Photo Per Page. This will size your photos as large as possible.
Alternatively, select the full page layout icon from the Layout button in the Album Window.
If you have a Canon printer that supports borderless printing, you can select this in the Select Paper task so that your photo will print right to the edge of the paper.

Printing Questions:

How do I remove the white margins around the edge of the printed page?
This is only possible if you have a special printer that will print all the way to the edge of the page. This feature is sometimes called "Edge to Edge" or "Borderless" printing. See your printer manual for more information.

How do I print photos to a specific size in millimeters or inches?
In the Select Printer & AlbumType task, select Fixed Size Photo as the album type. Under Photo Size you can specify measurements accurately.

Why is my printer slow to start?
Most printers are designed to quickly print text. However, PhotoRecord albums are mostly photos and graphics. PhotoRecord outputs high quality image data for photos and page artwork, causing your computer to process more information. You therefore need to wait before printing starts. If you choose Draft print quality in the Print dialog box, printing should start more quickly; however the print quality will not be high.

I want to print my photos on 5x7 photo paper. How can I find out the paper sizes my printer supports?
In the Select Printer & Album Type task, select your printer.
In the Select Paper task , click on the Paper Size drop down to display paper sizes available for the selected printer.
If the paper size you want is not listed, then it is not supported by your printer.

If you choose a Fixed Size Photo album, you can specify the exact size you want your photos to print (for example 5x7), but if your printer does not support 5x7 paper then your photos will print (at the size specified) on the default paper size which is usually A4 or Letter.
